Randy Schott - Musical Director
Raised in North Dakota and educated in Seattle, Washington, Randy Schott has served as an inner city social caseworker, university lecturer, Worship/Arts Pastor and freelance musician in Seattle, the San Francisco Bay Area and Johnson County, Kansas. Randy, his wife Kim, and their three children have resided in Overland Park since 1991; their kids are graduates of Olathe Public Schools.
Randy attended the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, receiving the Master of Music degree in choral conducting. While there, he served as Assistant Conductor of the Heritage Chorale, touring to New York, Boston and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Presently, Randy operates his own private voice studio, is a staff orchestra conductor for Johnson County's Theatre in the Park, and conducts choral clinics in area schools. His ministry pursuits have included major artistic productions, recording projects and travels to Central and South America and the Russian Far East. Randy has served as director of Trails West Chorus since May of 2007.
